Green Your Space

I do not know about you, but sometimes I cannot believe all the "crap" I accumulate in your own home. When my lover and I first moved into our condominium we thought there were so much space. We moved coming from a 700 square foot, one bedroom/one bathroom apartment to the new place. Our condominium is 1350 sq . ft . with 2 bedrooms and a pair of bathrooms. It gave the look of heaven and I got tired walking in one room to another location. It was just so much empty space. We obviously did not have enough furniture to fill the area. As time continued we started accumulating furniture and stuff. I do not even remember buying a lot of the stuff I say completing cabinets and closets. Before we knew it we were shopping around and wondering where we likely to fit our next furniture purchase. We both looked at one another and said, "Remember when this place was empty,!"
Throw junk away. Seriously, a lot of people keep way, way, lots of stuff in their homes. Get rid of non-essential stuff. We did just that. We looked around chose to complete living area effortlessly our unwanted and unused stuff. We spent an entire weekend filling the dining area. You can get the whole family involved.
Some in the items we put in the living area: Unused furniture (there were some side tables neither folks liked), Clothes we had not worn in twelve months (we saved seasonal clothes so long as we wore them the past time it was that season), Shoes we'd not worn in one year, Books there were not checked out or referenced in the final year, Handbags I had not employed in the very last year, All expired medicine, vitamins, creams and ointments (we threw these away), Expired food inside our kitchen cabinets (yes there was a can of soup that expired 3 years ago), Old towels and sheets, Unused hangers, Kitchen items I bought rather than used, An old computer, A printer that no longer worked, A cabinet we had arrived not using, Pet toys the pets failed to use, Old CDs (after we uploaded them to our computers).
Once we had arrived in a position to browse around and discover empty space again we thought we would stop. Then we walked to the dining room or actually peered through the doorway and I said, "We must have a yard sale." So that is the thing that we did.
We made $618.25. We took the remaining to the local Salvation Army donation go away. What a relief! I could finally walk through our condo and feel it again as empty! We created a pact to never purchase anything for that house for around one full year.
Even better we put that $618.25 to one our small credit card balances.
